Ambassador Ali Akil Khalil

Ambassador Ali Akil Khalil directs the WSA Universal Human Rights Project in Lebanon and the Middle East. He holds a degree in Information and Human Rights from La Haye International University, has training in journalism and human rights, and is a member of several human rights organisations.

Over more than three decades he has helped establish shelters and schools for homeless and orphaned children in Africa and Asia, led food-aid campaigns, and worked for dialogue between peoples and faiths. He has lived in Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone and Lebanon.
